Bountiful Orchard and a New Hairdo!

Hellooo friends and readers! Hope you're enjoying the changing of the Season...

I'm 'enjoying' head/neckaches, backache and an aching hip and shoulder :(( but also the beautiful colors and treats of this gorgeous season! Look at what I picked in the orchard today... these help me feel good!

Amazing flowers...

... and yummy figs!
The branches of the tree are full load of fruits and they bend down towards the ground in the garden (our fig tree is planted in the orchard, which is on a lower level). Kim loves figs, and she often goes to sniff those juicy delights!... but as she's VERY well- behaved, doesn't eat them if I don't give her permission. Sometimes I pick some and we eat them together :)) Hope I can find time to make some jam too.

I really needed to have my hair cut! Do you like my new hairdo??

  15. How did you do it?!?! "Her" flowers do not look anything like that at all....and figs?!?! Neither of us has ever seen a real live fig....or even a dead one. Or is that what comes in the bags at the grocery stores...dead figs in a bag.

Your Kim is an angel. My bestest pal Brandy used to love apples. But she only ate them when you weren't looking....or so she thought ;) She's stand up on her hind legs and pull it right off the tree. Of course she had to carry it around the yard for a while before eating it.

And with regard to your new hairdo....it's fabulous! Although I'm here to tell you that you could paint it purple with polka dots and you'd still be beautiful! Seriously!

    Purrs!

  16. Oh I love your hair, you cute thing you!!! Darling pictures of you Monica.

The figs and flowers make such a lovely picture. Do you know that I have only ate figs once in my life, not counting fig newton cookies of course,(one of my faves) but for the life of me cannot remember if I liked them or not. I guess it's time to try them again.

  19. Monica, I do LOVE your hair! And our pecan trees are loaded with nuts too. Just like you say your fig trees are. Of course it's too soon to be picking any but, I hope the squirrels leave us some this year! And your flowers are beautiful!!!!

This morning I saw hubby on the computer looking at Shelties... OH NO!!!!!! Looks like I might be vacuuming fur balls in the near future. I'm not sure how I feel about that. We are both missing our girl but, I just am not ready to put someone in her place. Take care in all that packing. YIKES it's hard work. We have found we really like but, haven't even listed ours. The thought of the packing & moving is almost enough to make me give up on the dream of getting the new one. HUGS! Charlene
