Coffee Filter Pom Poms: Tutorial.

A while back I created these sweet coffee filter pom poms, and now I thought I'd share them with you.
They're easy peasy and cheap to make! You could make a bunch for Halloween or Thanksgiving in orange and black, and in red with a sparkle of glitter  for Christmas... what a pretty favor or centerpiece!

Their basic structure is very similar to that of my coffee filter roses... except that no baking is necessary, and they are much faster to make!

The process is very easy: take coffee filters, soak them in a mixture of coffee and spices, add (food) color if you wish, drain and then assemble three of them altogether with the help of sewing thread. Tie two or three knots.
Hang until dry, over a place where you don't mind making a bit of a mess. I hung them in the shower, from a wire clothes hanger :)

Do the same with stripes of cotton. These will work well as ribbons.

Assemble three of them for a rich pom pom like mine, using paper adhesive tape (masking tape). So I assembled three coffee filters together (obtaining a small pom pom) and then three small pom poms together to make a bigger pom pom.
In the end, give these pretties a wooden stalk.
Hope you'll love them as I do!
