HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE PINE WREATH

⎨DIY simple pine wreath⎬

This post is part of a series of posts that accompanies my journaling & inspirational workshop, "Quiet Christmas: A Self-Love Journey for the Month of December". If you're looking for a way to slow down at Christmastime, find peace, and savor this time of the year like never before, then this workshop is for you! :) The course doesn't take into consideration the religious aspect of Christmas, it's a Personal Growth, Bliss & Healing workshop.

What if the cure for Holiday stress was more self-love and honoring our needs and desires? Quiet Christmas is an inspiring and powerful workshop in e-book format with daily journaling prompts (can be done even without journaling, if you prefer), to guide you on a journey of self-love and radical self care during the month of December.

What if we put ourselves and our deep needs and desires first?
Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a while, but I'm such a busy elf at this time! ;)

I have created this little tutorial for you a while back, on how to make a simple pine wreath.

I actually decided to do this outside, and it is something that I always suggest, since you can find more materials if you need them. Plus, you'll benefit from a full immersion in Nature while you're playing! And for me... there's nothing more nurturing, relaxing and enjoyable than that! (... even when I'm freezing! ha).

So go gather some pine (or actually fir, from branches fallen to the ground, there are usually plenty of them after a storm, or windy days). You'll also need some twine, scissors, ribbon, and a pre-made wreath.

Start by making small posies with a few pine boughs...

... and tie them to the wreath, without cutting twine from the spool.

Make another posy...

... and tie to the wreath as well, close to the previous one, always paying attention to hide the twine of the previous posy. Rotate the wreath as you go, so that the pine points always in the same direction.

Proceed in the same way, until you've covered the whole wreath.

Now cut a length of twine to hang the wreath...

... and secure to the top.

Double knot to keep in place.

Now add a bow...

... hang the wreath, and trim the ribbon to the desired length.

... Voilà! Your gorgeous simple wreath is done!

The video that shows the process to make this simple Christmas and Winter wreath with foraged greenery is here.

Since this wreath is made without florist's foam, it stays fresh for longer outside. If you place it inside, it will dry out in less than a week.

Hope you loved making a simple pine wreath with me, and I'll see you soon!

Bye for now!

Monica xoxo
