⎨Primitive snowman ornament pattern: meet Fred⎬
Today I'm introducing Fred, one of my DIY fabric snowman ornaments.
I had so much fun creating him, and making a large batch with vintage bedlinens and cotton towels.
I also used lots of vintage mother-of-pearl buttons, sewn patiently by hand. Oh, I soo love slow stitching! It's a relaxing and very meditative activity.
Fred is a medium size snowman (approx 10 inches/26 cm. tall), that can't stand unaided. You need to hang him from the branches of your Christmas tree, a door knob, the key of a chest of drawers... or use as the focal point for a stunning wreath!
Or, he can be used in festive vignettes all around the house, in a centerpiece, as place holder, to top off a special gift, to close a jar of homemade cookies, and in any way that you can think of!
The possibilities are endless, and you will love having him around in Winter and at Cristmastime, or make him for someone special in your life!
You can make Fred as primitive as you wish... grungy or not, he will look adorable in your festive home! :)
And of course, you can personalize him with sentiments meaningful to you, and by placing something in his hands. I love very much the plain and simple look, too!
See you soon,
Monica xoxo
