⎨My creative Christmas centerpiece & table⎬
This post is part of a series of posts that accompanies my journaling & inspirational workshop, "Quiet Christmas: A Self-Love Journey for the Month of December". If you're looking for a way to slow down at Christmastime, find peace, and savor this time of the year like never before, then this workshop is for you! :) The course doesn't take into consideration the religious aspect of Christmas, it's a Personal Growth, Bliss & Healing workshop. What if the cure for Holiday stress was more self-love and honoring our needs and desires? Quiet Christmas is an inspiring and powerful workshop in e-book format with daily journaling prompts (can be done even without journaling, if you prefer), to guide you on a journey of self-love and radical self care during the month of December. What if we put ourselves and our deep needs and desires first?
Today I'm super excited to share with you these pictures of one of my Christmas centerpieces and tables. As you already know if you've started "Quiet Christmas: A Self-Love Journey for the Month of December", we play a lot!! :) We "hygge" (the Danish word and life philosophy to make ourselves comfortable and nourish ourselves deeply), we create atmosphere in our home, we anchor to the present moment by really being present and enjoying what we're doing.
Playing with my creativity in my everyday life is absolutely mandatory for me, as I feel that deep love and passion and JOY inside my heart that must be expressed.
And one of my favorite things to do is definitely creating a centerpiece for our table!
I made this with fresh pine. This time I used silver fir, that doesn't drop needles! Woo hoo! This was a game-changer! I bought it from my florist friend, that usually has a lot of short pieces and leftovers from her work- and I got three or four bags full of it for a discounted price!
I arranged them spontaneously and pleasantly on a tray, and then proceeded by adding some red apples, cinnamon, my homemade gingerbread cookies, and dried oranges and apples.
Then, I placed a red candle in the middle of the centerpiece, over a small support (to keep the flame away from the needles).
And voilà!... Ready to bring a lot of Holiday charm and cheer to our table!
Finally, I prepared the table with one of my favorite tablecloths and plates, and added the finishing touch with these adorable Nutcracker Ballet crackers I found at a local store last year. They were soooo freakin' cute!! :)
