GINGERBREAD COOKIES!

 ⎨Gingerbread cookies!⎬

This is a batch of gingerbread cookies that I've made from scratch a few years ago.

Most of the shapes are simply freely cut out of gingerbread dough with a knife.

I baked them, let them cool down, and finally decorated with royal icing. 

Some have a little hole at the top (I made with the back of a BBQ skewer before baking), to be able to hang them and make adorable decorations for our home... and even to embellish gifts!
