MY QUIET CHRISTMAS: NATURAL & HANDMADE DECOR

 ⎨My Quiet Christmas: natural & handmade decor⎬

My very first time I bought a Christmas tree at a farm... oooh, the excitement!! :)
And then placing it in my kitchen, over my beloved chest of drawers made by my Nonno... decorated in a simple way, with handmade ornaments and some twinkling lights. The vintage bucket filled with a large plastic container full of water provided the refreshment for the tree, that did not drop needles (if not in minor amount throughout the Holiday season).

I made all the ornaments that you see in this picture, and also the teddy bear and the Santa.

The wooden gingermen have been cut out of wood by my Dad, and then I painted them with acrylics. The cookies were a lucky find at a florists' store many years ago, that I then turned ornaments just by attaching a bit of string to them with a dab of hot glue. The chocolate molds are normal molds, but I asked my Dad to please make a tiny hole in them, to be able to hang them with a length of twine. I knew a very dear friend of mine would have loved them, too, so I made two sets (she was soo thrilled!!).

A couple of lanterns on the chest of drawers and... voilà! My festive, warm and cozy kitchen! :)

"Quiet Christmas- A Self-Love Journey for the Month of December" is here.
