HELLO AUTUMN! HOW I CELEBRATE THE ARRIVAL OF AUTUMN

⎨Hello Autumn! How I celebrate the arrival of Autumn⎬

Finally, Autumn is here, and with it, the return to the nest.

I so love this cozy time of the year, when the days grow darker and shorter, encouraging us to slow down and go deep into ourselves.

This is how I celebrate it, and make the most of it. Here's a few of my choices.

1. I prepare myself to spend more time in Nature.
With the colder temperatures, it's the perfect and most enjoyable time for me to do so. I put on my beloved sweaters, technical clothes, my woollen hats and wellies, and off I go! :) In order to be able to make this practice really a pleasure, I ensure to have all my clothes, shoes and everything that I need always clean and on hand. There's nothing so frustrating as feeling that excitement inside to hit the road and not having everything I need already by the door. I ensure to prepare everything the night before and place my clothes in the bathroom, and my boots or wellies and backpack by the door.

2. I use my time in Nature to do my inner work, and to align myself to the life I really want to live. Purging and clearing myself, spending time in silence (no music, no audios, no books, no chats, and even no thinking at all, to really connect to the Silence that permeates the Universe) are vital parts of every single one of my Nature adventures. If you want to learn more about these topics, I speak about them in my inspirational and personal growth course, Healing Nature.

3. I tidy up the house, make it cozy and comfortable, and especially I select all the books that I want to read, and place them in a basket on my studio table and in the living room. I found out this is vital for success, because if I see them, I'm inspired to grab them and read them throughout the day.
I also place all my highlighters, felt tip pens and pencil in this basket, so that I can highlight passages and write notes on the margins. I don't read anymore fiction books, I only read (and study) non-fiction books for my wellbeing, healing, growth and happiness, and this choice was really a very powerful choice I made many years ago, to spend my time focusing on my JOY and wellbeing, my inner growth and my Purpose. I wouldn'thave reached such an incredible inner peace and explosive JOY  if I hadn't made this choice!

4. I go on Dates With Myself with my camera and my journals, and I carve out time and space for myself, to rest, recharge, nourish my Soul, contemplate my life and expose myself to Beauty. I intentionally focus on Beauty, and I capture it with my camera.
I also do some powerful inner work when I'm on Dates With Myself, and I speak about all of this in my course, "Dates With Yourself, Be Fearless & Follow Your Bliss". So, if this picked your curiosity, come virtually on a date with yourself with me, and let's do this work together!

5. I print and prepare some of my English countryside slow living notecards to write to family and friends, to bring them a little bit of JOY, peace, Beauty and inspiration. I love snail mail, it's a totally different feeling than receiving a note by email, isn't it!? I'm slowly but steadily producing more of these slow living notecards with my photos of the Cotwolds, that I love so much, and placing them in my shop to share with you. I feel so inspired by those images from my life and the English countryside! Here you can find the ones that are already available, if you want to have a look.

6 And finally, I really enjoy myself and have fun, doing all the creative activities I'm inspired to do, like baking bread, focaccia, savory tarts, and a few cakes and treats. Or collecting dried grasses, branches and natural elements in Nature and playing florists' to display them in my home. Or playing with pots, bulbs and plants, tidying up and preparing everything in our outdoor space for the Winter slumber. Or sketching in my sketchbook, doing collage in my journals, and so on.

With this, I leave you for today, and I prepare myself to go out in Nature!

See you soon!

Monica xoxo
