MY SIMPLE EVERYDAY JOURNALING KIT I TAKE OUT WITH ME EVERY DAY

 ⎨My simple everyday journaling kit⎬

Today I wanted to share with you my little and simple journaling kit, I take with me all the time. So that, if you would like to journal more, and especially do that when you're out and about, you don't have excuses to stop you! :)

While I also have other store-bought leather covers that I've gotten recently, I've been using this simple and inexpensive system for many years, and I still do!

I've learned from my own experience that having a journaling kit already in my bag (or easy to grab at the last minute!) is the one and only key to success. So put together yours today!

My printable November Journaling prompts are here.

Put together your journaling kit:

1. Decide which size you do prefer. You may need to experiment a little with this, since we are all different and what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for everybody. I, for example, have started with a Pocket Moleskine several years ago, to then pass on to a regular Moleskine, and then go back to the Pocket/A6. The fact is, I am not willing anymore to carry a lot of weight with me! So the decision came very easy for me. I already use other larger sizes at home, and I've decided to be content with that, and that I'm not going to stress myself anymore with a lot of weight on my shoulders! :) The Pocket/A6 size is the perfect size for me to carry around.

2.  Make a simple cover by following a tutorial on YouTube. You can also use the notebook without a cover, but for me this decision was a game-changer because, without a cover, I always tended to ruin my notebooks in my backpack or bag. Now with a cover, they stay protected and it's a pleasure to use them outside! I found some tutorials on YouTube and followed them, using pieces of leather I had been given by a neighbor that was about to toss them, and also found some scraps at the market for a song (you don't need a lot of leather for an A6 or Pocket size cover). You can also make a fabric or cardboard cover if you prefer, but I personally prefer the leather ones.

3. Get a small pencil case, preferably with elastic. I find it very helpful to have a few pens with me, a highlighter, a washi tape roll and small glue stick. They all fit in my little pencil holder.

4. Use an envelope to keep stickers or journal cards and prompts on hand. I also got a plastic (to not ruin it by handling it very often) envelope with a button to keep it closed. I keep in there my small journal cards, scraps from magazines, and some stickers. Simply because many times I want to play a little in my journal and not just write! :)

5. Take it with you everyday. Keep your journaling kit in your bag or on your desk, and remember to take it with you all the times. Then, when you're out and about, intentionally slow down to recenter yourself in your heart, Truth and Intentions during the day, or write whatever insight you may have. These cute little journals are for me a source of real happiness, and also of inspiration. I jot in them conversations I overhear, random notes, epiphanies, and I also attach to the pages things that I would otherwise lose or toss.

And you? Do you like having a notebook with you when you're outside?

Have a great day, and see you in my next post!

Monica xoxo
