I love love love how it turned out!
I used a cutter for the roof and walls, given me by a very dear friend. I had never used it before, because the truth is, I was intimidated by the idea of making the house from scratch.
But eventually, I decided I was going to make it! I just went for it without thinking, for the sake of playing, without any attachment to the outcome or any preconceived idea, and it turned out perfect! It came out like that from my heart, it is spontaneous and not thought at all!
I baked the house parts, let them cool overnight, decorated them before assembling the house (it’s the very first time I proceed this way), and had absolutely zero problems with keeping the structure together. I simply placed a glass inside, to keep the walls straight, and then the roof in place.
Then I finished decorating with royal icing and finally, used a few trees and stars I had on hand, from a previous batch of gingerbread cookies. The trees were cut freely from the dough with the tip of a knife. I let the house solidify overnight before moving it. The next day, I placed it on an antique ironstone platter, and added fir branches from the mountains.
And of course it is super-snowy! ... I so so so so love snow! :)
