I still can remember vividly doing this quick painting after dinner... so much that I kind of feel myself there with my paintbrush in hand, doing it! It's the power of sketching and keeping a watercolor journal!
It was raining a lot those days, and I was a bit concerned for our irises in full bloom outside! So I went on to paint them, before they disappeared.
The interesting part and insight from this sketch is this. I had drawn something else on the page, that I didn't like, so I simply drew again the irises on top of it and I kept going! In the end, I was truly satisfied with this spread. From that moment on, if I make a mistake or don't like what I've drawn, I simply draw something else on top! If you're using a watersoluble pencil or pastel, it's no big deal! You're not going to see the previous drawing when it's done.
