 ⎨My "Just Show Up" Watercolor Journaling & Sketching Challenge 2025: day 13⎬

I blogged already about this particular spread, watercolor paintings from my Morning Walk in Provence, here.

At this point of my challenge, I basically was more and more willing to let go of all my preconceived ideas, my doubts and self-imposed limitations... and just paint what deeply inspires me. What moves me. What causes a revolution in my heart.

I'm going to type here again what I've written in my sketchbook journal, so you don't have to try to read what's written on the page! :)

" These days I feel so inspired by France and Provence. All I want to paint are windows and doors framed by gorgeous roses, blue shutters, sleepy villages, infinite lavender and sunflower fields... I want to paint what inspires me, what makes my heart soar...

I have decided this morning at breakfast (painted these pages at 5 a.m. as usual, these days it's my treat) that I'm going to ALLOW. I'm going to stop doing what I'm supposed to be doing, what others are expecting of me, what I expect of myself, what it's supposed to sell and all the rest... and take another (yet another) leap of faith, knowing that all the pieces of the puzzle are magically falling into their proper place.

And by the way... I'm dreaming of a Provencal straw bag... it would be so so nice to be able to get one, one day! (So sad I haven't bought it when I last visited)."
