DIY CLAY TAGS

⎨DIY clay tags⎬
Hi everyone, here's a tutorial for you on how to make air dry clay tags, that can be used for gift wrapping and other creative projects.

You can make stars or other Holiday themed tags and incorporate them in your Christmas gift wrapping for example, or make some for other occasions.

In this post I'm sharing a batch of clay Christmas gift tags that I've made, but you can put your own twist on them and end up with a vast array of different looks with this simple craft tutorial!

For my air dry clay tags I use white DAS...

Take it out of its bag and make a ball.

Soften it in your hands...

... and with a rolling pin, press it until you have a smooth surface.

I use to do this on a textured cutting board (that I have found at the famous Swedish store, in the kitchen section), that I have designated for crafting projects. The texture of the plastic is transferred to the clay tags, with such a nice effect!

Then grab your cookie cutters and cut your tags!

Now with the bottom of a BBQ skewer, make some holes.

At this point, you can handstamp them if you wish, or leave them plain and simple. Do not sprinkle with glitter as of yet.

Let air dry, turning upside down every now and then.

Do not place on a radiator, as they might crack!

When yout tags are completely dry (generally after one week or so, it depends on the weather) you can spray glue them and glitter them.

This is such a simple crafting project perfect for all ages!

Happy crafting!!
